Hi sage i would recomend a mayfly pattern or grass hopper pattern fly hook , why im pointing you to these two flys is because i have had very good luck on these flys and baits in rivers where the goldeye like , yep Nothing beats a grass hopper and bobber in the right month. I have tried trout worms and bobber combos as well but they just didnt work quite as good as the hopper set up. Any how thats just my oppinion of course . but if any one else have any other awsome methods please by all means post them.

Ok heres what i use for those scrappy goldeye. I like using a small lure like a len thomson or small flat fish hook i just cast for goldeye in the current and let the current work the lure. And in no time i have a nice goldeye on!! Thats my secret. Landed lots last year that way.
