Hi n gd day Sage, i think the fish that u mentioned is called Toman (snake head). Its a kind of predatorary fish that is prohibited in western countries like USA n Canada. This spieces of fish is known to WIPED OUT the entire living colony of another spieces in their living enviorment. Theres another kind of Snake head , which is smaller in size, that grow to a max weight of ard 3-5kg. It can even survived in a very hostile enviorment, can even stay out of the water for a few days provided the weather is cool. This fish is known to eat whatever that pass by them n once their habitat is out of food, they'll MOVED ON to a near by pond BY WALKING....hahaha...not walking, they'll wigger their way to find a new pond for food. So thats the reason why those western countries is SO AFRAID of this type of fierce fish. i'll try to get afew of this speice's pic to show u. Cya ard pal, gd day

Oh no! I know this is a late reply but they found some of these snake heads in a pond in Maryland near DC. They actually drained the pond and removed all the snake heads. But because they "walk" other ponds were checked and more were found. Last I heard they think they had them under control. There's a marsh by where I live that has snake head fish they look similar but I think they're a different species and no ones making a big stink about it. ;D
