Went out for Walleye with a pal from back home hes mostly uses spincasting gear for walleye with bait of course ..But i did bring along the OLD fly rod and i tryed it out.. He did catch more fish than I , but i did manage to keep up to his catch at the end of the trip .. I used a [glow=red,2,300]White bunny zonker fly with pearl body [/glow]the walleye just hammered it,.. Great fun thanks for the advise Metal angler on using A[glow=red,2,300] WHITE ZONKER!![/glow]..

Ok here a idea for a fishing online tourney ,,Lets make it a Vintage rod and reel picture tourney,,Heres my idea ok you know how we all get old fishing gear given to us by our fathers grandfathers or just collecting at garage sales and from estate sales ect... Why dont we have a online Vintage rod and reel challenge tournament.. Who ever can catch the biggest or best fish on a vintage rod and reel combo will win it... Well ok the best picture of that rod reel and with the fish it caught,, Lets use those beautiful old reels and rods instead of them collecting dust you would be surprised how well some of them work...
Let me know what you all think...

When fishing for pike or musky i using a bobber with a minnow yep just a split shot and a J hook sometimes i dont even use the split shot..
Works great for wallys too. Once you find em you can keep that bait exactly how high you want off the bottom and see the lightest of bites...
