8-)Hello guys!!! This is one for Carpman who we haven't heard from lately. A friend of mine gave me a copy of the Wall Street Journal dated Tuesday, Feb.15, 2005. In it a great artical about carp fishing. As I already knew carp fishing is huge over seas. There is an American Carp Society pushing to have the 10 year old World Carp Angling Championship held in th U.S.. for the first time. If it happens, it will be held in June on a 40 mile-stretch of the St. Lawrence River by Ogdensburg, NY. It's a two man team event that runs for 115 hours. The team that catches the largest total weight of carp wins $100,000.. Also if anyone breaks the NY state carp record of 50 pounds, 4 ounces wins $1 million , paid out over 40 years. The only downside is to get a chance at these prizes you have to come up with $2,500. entry fee. It sounds like a heap of money to front, but I'm really thinking about. Remember, you gotta be in, it to win it. And last but not least I'ld have to find a partner that knows how to catch the now world famous "CARP". ;D P.S. if you don't have a copy of the journal, you can probably look it up on the internet.
