I saw that one before. It wasn't caught with rod & reel. I think he caught it noodling if I'm not mistaken.

 I call this the fignewton carp.  I caught him today 5/4/05 on a crappie jig that I baited with a fignewton because I didn't have any other bait.  I lost two more. One took me into a tree, the other went down river and I think into the lake (spooled me-4 pound test on a micro reel).

Right on BB, June is the best time for carp here, huge carp some of the old guys say they get up to 60lbs. I know where they are i have seen them before

I think I'll hit a carp pond That I haven't fished in a couple of years. Gotta head to price chopper for some flour and corn meal. Can't wait to hook up and hang on!!! ;D ;D ;D

Right on BB make sure to snap a few pic if you head out the Carp pond. And for your question Sage If my memory servs me correct i used a size 4 gamagatsu and half of a Canadian night crawler. Ya the worm told me he was from Canada anyways It was a heavy Carp around 25 lbs or so.. |
