drill hole find a aluminum pie plate smaller then the hole.Put something in the center of it to attatch a sthingy to.I us a bolt and a few washers, send it to the bottom of the hole jiggle the sthingy till it comes lose.Then when your done fishing hook the sthingy back on and bring it up . You will be surprized how much light reflects off the aluminum plate.Makes seeing the fish much easier!!!

Sounds like a good tip heres another one instead of buying a ice fishing rod. Use your least favorite pole
it works just as well and besides you dont have to be
kneeling down on the ice.And besides a fishing rod lets you jig better.
