Hi Heres my question i wondering in your opinion what would be a good affordable fishing combo to buy? I don't fish that much. I have a few older rods and reel combos already but they don't cast very good any more. And i was thinking of paying about $50.00 range any info would help.
thanks

Hey snooks sorry for not posting sooner i get lost in this site sometimes to many posts but thats a good thing. Ok regarding your question on which combo to buy well for 50 bucks i would probally go with Shakespeare's ugly stick the medium sized pole spin-cast style cause its so versatile and top it off with a reel from Abu Garcia or Shimano. When you buy the reel look at what size line its suited for, it will usually say how much line the spool will hold with different pound test lines. I would go with 8-12 pound line. 10 pound line is all need to use it casts a bit better than 12 but then again if you land into a lunker at least you have a chance of bringing him in. Well snooks all i can say is my ugly stick has held up through years exceptional good. 8 years old and still catching lunkers and getting slammed in car doors and not breaking!!
