Well i was out on the water in alberta Gregoire Lake
and the Walleye action was hot. But hardly any northern pike like it use to be. Ever since they put that new catch limit to zero for walleye they changed the lake balance to a all walleye lake, wich isnt bad if you love walleye fishing. But what happens when they be come over populated and all die off? anyways the walleye fishing is good there.I was useing a yellow mister twister double tail jig tipped with a minnow.Biggest walleye of the day 8 pounds caught on a lindy rig worm combo.

No way i fished that lake before metal .Cool when i went i caught some nice sized walleyes as well but nothing beats the clearwater River for those big Walleyes.I used rubber worm and a lindy rig combo.

Ya sounds good one day we could some fishing there shawn and hopefully land into some of those huge walleyes.

The trip back home was long,When i got there i hooked up with a few of my old fishing pals from my home town and decided to go fishing. We headed out to Winnifred Lake about 2.5 hrs from Ftmc Murray. Beautiful drive all thew way there deer and a black bear in the sandy jack pine country crossed in front of our jeep. The lodge thats there i would recommend, totally awesome. A ten forsure The Walleyes were hammering the hooks hard in the morning and evening ,but i was after some monster northerns i have heard about from local natives i knew from that area . Average size 9 - 10 pounds but thick!! we caught and released about 50- 60 between 3 of us. although there is high number of monster Northerns in there. My friend the week before landed into a 13pound walleye, i landed into a 15 pound Northern had to show em who's still boss ;D, funny thing was, the 15 lb pike i was reeling in got attacked by something huge you should have seen the size of the teeth marks. I wish i could have caught the fish that chomped down on him i think it happened when i was fighting him in. I wouldn't wanna be swimming there with 40+ northerns lurking around  All and all a great trip and i will be posting a few pics soon |
