Awsome fishing at L.O.T.P. some times when i go there, i have a hard time catchin something legal size to take home .Picks i mean picks 18 inches and over have to be released .But your able to keep only one over 28 inches. Theres also northern pike,Burbot,jumbo perch,carp. i know a guy that caught a 15 inch gold eye just the other day. Further more the ice fishing right around chrismas is awsome, so is the trout fishing in the duck mountians if your one of the first ones on the ice. At a few lakes i know of. Watch out!!! you cant keep the splake, rainbows ,brookies,speckels off the hook .I cant wait to get a few on the floor of my ice shack. I have 4 ice shacks ,i keep them at my 4 most favorite lakes i always catch fish#nosmileys#nosmileys#nosmileys

summer time i use bottom bouncers with orange spinners tiped off with a worm.,,,,or off
shore with a pickerel rig and worms . winter time #4 hook and a twist wieght a foot from the hook and a live minnow this works excellent because you dont even have to jig . your also aloud 2 lines per person cant wait.

Fishing was awsome today landing and releaseing huge Walleyes and some line breaking carp all day. Fishnutt showed me a place that would make any angler jealous. We kept a few for the frying pan. It really put the ol Berkley lighting rod to the test. Nothing better than hearing the drag screaming and lines snappin lol And we were useing 15 pound test. Cant wait to goto that spot again  |

fished august 21 & 22.....20+ feet of water..caugth and released a number of small fish largest walleye 26.5" cooler temps should improve fall fishing

Hey moonie thanks for the report,
I cant wait till i can fish the L O P T again soon when it gets a lil colder it was getting a lil colder a few days back but that didnt last long. So the walleye are in the deep now kinda figgured so since all those nice days we have been haveing. I fished the assiniboine river when it was colder llast week the walleye started biteing a lil there too.
