Thanks metal. One thing about big 7/0 Mustad hooks...OR any big hooks....you need to keep them extra sharp for muskie hunting. Not that you don't for the smaller hooks but, for anything large than 5/0 I have found if you only have a sharp hook it does not usually hook up to the barb. But...tha will also teach you to not have slack in the line. I have learned that one a few times in my earlier years! Still wish I could at least have seen what was on my line a few of thsoe times. Thanks again! James PS-Coming soon will be some of those big Grunts pro painted. Will have to see how those go to see if it is worth the extra cost.

Yep sharp hooks are very important and its safe to say it increases your odds when out for muskies.

No problem anything to help out a fellow angler. And your site is looking very cool. Good job. And dang those hooks look sharp. I like the metallic perch and the classic red head... Very fine lures indeed.

Happy to report my new 16 inch MRG painted Grunt trolling lures are in and on my website. Many have said to charge $60-$70 or more for these big trolling baits but I have kept the price below $40. I hope this is a good deal for all as I know cash is getting hard to come by these days for most (*Hence me making muskie lures!)These are handmade from American hardwood and only use top terminal tackle like Wolverine triple split rings, Mustad hooks etc. Thank you for those of you who have emailed me with suggestions and recommendations for my site and lures. FYI-I only have one of each of the MRG color patterns right now but will have more of each soon. If I do not have "Sold Out" over the picture I still have it in stock. I do have lots of stock color patterns and jointed models and will not run out of those for a while. Making more as fast as my wife and kids will let me. email me with any questions. Staying away from the smaller lures as the market for those is well taken care of. With that said, it is hard to find a quality lure above 14 inches that is affordable. That is why I made the Grunt. One, I can't afford a $300 Wishmaster and two, I wanted to make sure I could have some of these large baits and the by-product was me making a few extra for others who can't afford the high prices of large baits but want to use them. My ultimate goal is to see my son or daughter pull a 50+ inch muskie up with a bait I made them. 1yr old and 2yr old right now.....I have some time to wiat for them so please throw those 35-40 inchers back for my kids! Thanks, James
