Panfish poppers

Well im trying to make a few poppers for fishing this year. I was hopeing to land some, rock bass, perch, maybe blue gill if i can make them small enough that is. I was wondering since i have a box of old ear plugs from work,do you think this will work?. They are different colors and shapes. I was thinking
to use these just for the hell of it. By adding maybe some rubber legs and some dumbell eyes.Maybe i could land a few. What do you all think?

Sounds like a great idea. Those crappy and perch would slam those for sure the florencent orange and yellow ones for certon.
And on a fly rod it would be great landing those slob crappies.

Hey metal i bet those would work great on the gold eye and white fish to considering i had most my luck on brite orange.
