Just wondering what type of line i should use for my tip ups? Any ideas would be helpful. Im useing 8 pound trilene but it freezes up quite abit. Help!

Sorry bigtymeangler for not replying sooner i get lost in the posts. Ok heres what I like to use, Berkley's subzero ice line it stays ice free and is quite strong. I would say if your ice fishing for pike use 12 plus. Hope that helps ya out.

suggest you go with at least 20 on the tipup and on the quick strike rig use 60 flourocarbon to eliminate any bite-offs

Yep those pike sure have a some sharp teeth dont they. I like using at least a 6-9 inch steel leader with my tip up combos for pike. If im using a lite line.
