I have a small lake close to my house loaded with brookies and bows
Whats the best bait to try? The ice is about 2feet thick!
I heard using corn works good..

Oh geez jigger dont use corn it kills the trout!!
They cant break it down well digest it..
It does work but bad for the trout !! Some states in the USA banned corn..
hope this helps ...
If you want a killer bait for trout try using a chartuese green or pink tear drop or moon drop hook tipped with a few magots "spikes" Or mealy worms..
It will out fish Corn anyday and it wont kill the trout..

THATS A NO NO USING CORN !!
I like using live fresh minnows the bigs ones like em the lil ones dont so when you get one on you know its a lunker!!!
