So you find the fish you start fishing your line starts moveing ,you set the hook! SNAP!!!! it boils down to THE LINE .What type of line do you use My self i like STREN i find it the best for all purpose fishing and it has the least memory free and tangle free of most lines i have tested. But if you have a favorite tell us.

I preffer Berkley trilene but i have used Stren its good stuff but berkleys trilene 6lbs can straighten out the hooks good when your all caught up in the snags. So its proof for me.

My favorite is Berkley Fireline. 20lb strength with an 8 lb. diameter. I fish a lot of shoreline with rocks & stumps under the surface and this line holds up the best out of anything I've used. No stretch to it at all so you feel the lightest walleye nibble. When you set the hook using this line. you know you've set the hook hard. I use a Palomar knot with this type of line.

Ya im going to have to try that line out sounds awsome you been catching those big tiger muskies on that line. It's the ONLY line I've used for the past 5 years. Tigers, walleye, bass, whatever!! I swear by it. Everyone has their preferences though. I'd like to hear from more of the folks here on what they like to use.

Thanks for the opinion Piker. Spiderwire is very similar to the Fireline. 0 stretch and very durable. Do you have any trouble with it as far a casting goes. I've heard that it keeps its memory and spirals off the spool. Is that true?
