Hey metal i heard you maybe not bad with computers
can you help me? My computer is acting up it takes for ever to search a web page and sometimes i get sent to a totally different site. Help metal And nice site you have here by the way. Any one out there help!!!

Go Here: www.sgtgeek.com/antispyware.htm & download Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D Very simple programs to clean up the junk on your hard drive. Run Ad-Aware first, then Spybot S&D. Tick anything in red for removal, & leave the rest if you don't know what they are. It sounds like you've got a browser hijack. After you are done with that, Aw heck just go to www.sgtgeek.com and click on the forum section. There are a lot of great folks there who can guide you further. One more program I would also suggest is CCleaner set it to run at start-up. Hope this helps, then come on back & we can talk about fishing. ;D |

Yes muskys advise is good for sure, I would recommend downloading a firewall as well like zone alarm or a anti virus like AVG all these can be downloaded from www.downloads.com for free. One more thing, there is a few really good online virus scans you can use for free as well like Panda scan and housecall scan by Micro trend i think. well heres the link for the panda software i use often www.pandasoftware.comIts very important to run different virus scans because not every virus scan will pick up the same viruses some may by pass one the other one did not detect etc. you will be surprised how much better your PC will work after using these products. If you do down load avg and adware and zonealarm remember to always check for updates. What do they do these updates? They are new files for your anti virus programs to detect new viruses. kinda like a newspaper telling your PC what to look out for. Hope this helps |

Same here help i get annoying popups as well If you are using Internet Explorer, click on "Tools" at the top of the window, scroll down to "Pop Up Blocker" & click "Turn On Pop Up Blocker".  |

Metal i tryed that panda free scan whoa it worked awsome it said i had like 57 viruses ;D thats huge amazeing my pc still works. But now its running smoothly thanks for the advise guys. And i also thanks for the link i downloaded the firefox browser on the main page. My pc never worked this good since i bought it like 4 years ago. Ohya cool thing about that firefox bowser it has its own pop up blocker.
