As we all know how aggresive the northern pike can be it was proven again on my last outing with Cat hunter. We were fishing Rivers lake catching a few walleyes and perch. As Cathunter was reeling in another bait stealing perch, we watched a 7-10 pound northern engulf the perch he was reeling in.splash chomp!!! that was it.Cat hunter now had both on.Reeling in the big jack, the fish finally noticed that the perch was hooked, lol he spit the perch and hook.I wish i had my video cam for that one.And the teeth marks on that perch were impressive.

Cool i heard of this lil girl swimming at this lake in the northern Alberta and she got bit. And the fis h wouldnt let go it was like 30 pounds and she had to be all stiched up .I bet the paramedics hated try to take the big slue shark off her leg cause as you know the teeth are angled backwards. i hope they took it off carefully.
take care :plugger

Hey plugger some how i dont find that to hard to believe.I know they have only one thing in there mind to eat and if the swimmer was small and makeing enough noise splashing around i could see A BIG pike attacking for sure, no doubt about it.I Remember my grand father telling me of some of the pike he would catch, They would have baby ducks, small muskrats.birds ect.
